My new year resolution (meditation)

This is how I start 2014:
Yep it's all the Christmas chocolate and cakes.... but to stay like this without becoming a beachball with legs, here is a gem I discovered in the holidays: Doreen Virtue's: The Lightworker's Way, which has some beautiful meditations for morning and bedtime and invaluable guidance on how to stay well and true to our higher self. I am so grateful to have rediscovered this book by 'accident' after 11 years of coming across it and thinking I had lost it...

Farewell to 2013 - welcoming a hopeful and adventure filled 2014

A fun and fulfilled farewell to a beautiful year with my best friends in the world:
and welcoming the new rays of sunlight as we approached 2014....
A warm thank you to the best companion and doggy friends, family and non-furry friends from all around the world, horsey, yoga, NIA and other lovely connections, and all the beautiful people at Bay tree and BU for making this a year wholesomely lived one filled with growth and happy memories. Love and blessings to you all for the New Year :)

Love...

To my special One, thank you for a beautiful weekend.... ...Love... When love beckons to you, follow him, Though his ways are hard and steep. And when his wings enfold you yield to him, Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you. And when he speaks to you believe in him, Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden. For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning. Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun, So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth. Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself. He threshes you to make you naked. He sifts you to free you from your husks. He grinds you to whiteness. He kneads you until you are pliant; And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may become sacred bread for God's sacred feast. All these things shall love do unto you that you may know the secrets of your heart, and in that knowledge become a fragment of Life's heart. But if in your fear you would seek only love's peace and love's pleasure, Then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love's threshing-floor, Into the seasonless world where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter, and weep, but not all of your tears. Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself. Love possesses not nor would it be possessed; For love is sufficient unto love. When you love you should not say, "God is in my heart," but rather, "I am in the heart of God." And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course. Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself. But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires: To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To know the pain of too much tenderness. To be wounded by your own understanding of love; And to bleed willingly and joyfully. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving; To rest at the noon hour and meditate love's ecstasy; To return home at eventide with gratitude; And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise upon your lips. Sacred time in Hengistbury Head

There's something about the sky above Hengistbury Head that always makes it a magical place to be. After a healing visit to a special place in Wareham my 'homework' was to write a letter to Archangel Michael and release all that no longer serves me and ask for all the abundance I would like to welcome into my life. Thank you for the miraculous guidance.... I wrote the letter in the company of my two loony dogs and a bumblebee that would not leave me alone and then allowed the liberating waves of Hengistbury Head to take my letter to where it needed to go... I looked up at the sky afterwards and this is what I saw:
The little red light next to the setting sun was actually a tiny rainbow that appeared in the sky.. And then I noticed this boat on the horizon:
... which made me think of Kahlil Gibran's Prophet, such a soulful reading. Thank you for a magical day...
Welcome back to my 'secret garden' and meet my future avocado trees, thank you to The Hungry Mouse for sharing the brilliant tutorial! Speaking of garden, if you haven't heard the song Woodstock by Matthew's Southern Comfort (originally written by Joni Mitchell) now is the time, I can't get enough of it. Thank you Joaozinho for the inspiration which has led me back to the guitar. Today I picked up my guitar again after many months of not going anywhere near it and will not put it down until I've perfected this song :) (Big thank you to youtube and Alan Robinson for making it possible!) And if that song doesn't give you hope, open The Return of the Bird Tribes by Ken Carey :) It's my second time reading it, the first time it didn't mean that much to me.. this time it's changing my life and speaking to an inner truth i cannot explain. I know it will find the right people, please enjoy and share...

project 'my secret garden'

“You are never given a dream without also being given the power to make it true. You may have to work for it, however.” ― Richard Bach At home in bed again, and sick and tired, literally of being ill. This time I've got Darth Vader syndrome, when my boyfriend tried to call me to see how I was he thought he called the wrong number, that's how scary I sound! So here's what I'm going to do about it. I'm setting the goal of doing one small thing a week (at least) to make our home more organic, healthy and as self sufficient as possible. My step for this week was finding a little treasure chest called Kitchen Gardeners International already subscribed and started looking at all the goodies there, tips and recipes yay! Join me if you like on my journey and I'll keep you updated on where all of this takes me :) Oh and two gems from Louise L Hay and Sarah Wilson (whose blog is great!) that led me to my project today: 7 louise hay insights for healing your life (and a thyroid tip) and yes! louise hay tells me her #1 healing trick A big thank you to both!
